How to crack the Swearword censor.

One thing to keep in mind when editting STB files, they are nothing like LUA files, Lua files are simply script files, rose queries these files on the fly, and if you fucked up some code in one it will crash when it makes the call. But with STB files, its totally different, Rose checkes the integrity/filesize of the STB files as the game loads, if you fucked with an STB file with notepad or any other basic text editor, i garantee you will crash when you launch rose.
For editting STB files, your best bet is to use a hex editor, I would suggest either [url=http://www.bpsoft.com/]Hex Workshop[/url] which is my personal favorite, or [url=http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Hiew-Download-1699.html]HIEW[/url] which is also very good (I used to use it before I fell in luv with hex workshop back in 98/99)
Ok, now lets bust open BADWORDS.STB so you can start cussin' at people for no reason.

1 - get [url=http://rose.snipah.com/]VFSEditor[/url] or [url=http://www.gamerzplanet.net/forums/t101739-vfs-viewer-and-multiple-rose-launcher-download.html]VFSViewer written by iddqd[/url]. I suggest the latter, it is alot easier for first timers to use and I must say it seems a bit more stable.
2 - Now load up 3ddata (in your rose folder) using the VFS program you just downloaded, browse to 3ddata/stb using this program, located BADWORDS.STB and extract it.
3 - Now open up the hex editor you plan to use, and open BADWORDS.STB, you will be shown this:

4 - Now, if you have every used a hex editor before, you know that the periods "." in between all those string values are actually not periods, they are HEX Null values (00x0).
5 - To simply enable all swear words, highlight everything from "*^^*" to the end of the file, then (if using hex workshop) right click the selected area and select "Fill..." and in the box that says "Fill with the following hex byte" enter 0 (zero) if it is not already there, then hit ok. This will replace all the bad words with the HEX nul value. Save the file in TRIGGERSOFT\ROSEONLINE\3DDATA\STB\ (create any folders you need to in order to save it) and run rose. You can now swear all you like :)
5.1 - Or you could take a different approach and simply edit each swear word indevidually.[/list:u:d81f9f4dc9]
