Did a Game or Site block your IP Address? Try this ;)

This works with Cable internet INSTANTLY, although some DSL ISP's require you to phone in your new MAC Address. Read on!

Cable modems dont broadcast their IP's. They just resolve the network access and authenticate. Among other things like cap your bandwidth. Some are minorly administerable thru the ISP. If you need your live IP to change, all you need to do is broadcast a new mac address. This can be done two different ways, both very simple and effective. The MAC address is what networks use to determine your lease times. lease times are the duration the network will "save" your IP for you.

If you use a router:
log into the router (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and search thru the options, most routers have an option to let you change the mac address. this will give you a fresh new IP right away.

If you use a hub, or connect directly to the cable modem:
open your network connection properties, click "configure" next to your network card, go to the advanced tab, select "network address". now go find your CURRENT mac address like so:
start>run>cmd>ipconfig/all
it should give you some feedback similar to this:
[code:1:2eb7cae3a8]

Mac addy's are hex based. so just grab any of the letters and change it to F, or any other hex byte your in love with. then enter that into the box and save the changes. if it doesnt give u an IP right away and cuts u off the net, just go start>run>cmd>ipconfig/renew.

And there you have it. fresh new IP address in under a few minutes.
