Its about fucking time...

Quoted from roseonlinegame.com;

Rose Online has been a part of the Gravity family suite of game titles for several years now. We are going to update ROSE's subscription model to attract more users than ever before.

On July 29 we will be turning the servers over to Free to Play where all accounts in good standing may log in.

On July 22 we will be removing the subscription page from the Website. That one week from the 22-> 29 no one will be able to make a subscription; if you have a subscription that will expire during that week and you want to make sure you do not have any gap in game accessibility please make a subscription prior to the 22nd.

Re-occurring subscriptions will automatically be cancelled (to not re-occur), on the 22nd.

Any left over Subscription time will be creditted 40 Mileage points per day (1200/month) that is left of the current subscription starting at 12:01am July 28th.

If you have friends that want to play ROSE but were concerned with the subscription cost now is a great time to invite them to join you on your adventure!

We hope that this is a new greater beginning for ROSE online!

I have restored all the stickies from the old forum. For those of you diving into the rose hack stuff, keep in mind most of those hacks are outdated and dont work anymore, they are simply there because a lot of people requested to get the info back.

Currently working on restoring the downloads system as well, so keep an eye out :)

As you can see, as promised, JMcIvor.Com has undergone HUGE changes, we now have a whole new engine powering the site. Most of the basic content is still intact, although the downloads and forum failed to migrate so they will need to be reintegrated. All user (almost 25000) were successfully migrated and you should all be able to log in just fine.

I will still be tweaking the site, debugging, adding content, working on a new look, etc. If you have any questions or have a bug to report, hit me up at jlm@jmcivor.com

Nuff said!

This new Street Fighter game looks tolerable.
Bad News, they decided to try 3D again.Good News, The games physics seems to match the 2D versions quite nicely (notice how Guile's flash kick still has a low and high hit).
So they went 3D, and judging from gameplay video's they did as good a job as could have been done, I would definately like to try this one out, being an old school SF nut (just sold my baby a few months ago, Street Fighter 2 Championship Ed, arcade machine).

Check out the Vids!

The advertising was a waste of time, they seemed to think paying us pennies for thousands of impressions a day was a good deal. Think again, numb nuts.

So to celebrate here's a pic to lol at:

Hi people, We are selling ad space now, although trying to keep away from adult content, so if you see a banner with nudity or otherwise offensive material, please PM me directly.

Other than that, not to worry, there will be NO invasion of privacy or ruining of your experience here @ Jmcivor.com, there will be NO popups, NO full page "Skip this ad" type of ads. All you will notice is the banner space up top, and possibly text ads in blocks to the left or the right of the site.

Again, please notify me if you see any inappropriate ads, thanks!

Merriam-Webster's Word of the Year 2007

Thousands of you took part in the search for Merriam-Webster's Word of the Year for 2007, and the vast majority of you chose a small word that packs a pretty big punch. The word you've selected hasn't found its way into a regular Merriam-Webster dictionary yet—but its inclusion in our online Open Dictionary, along with the top honors it's now been awarded—might just improve its chances. This year's winning word first became popular in competitive online gaming forums as part of what is known as l33t ("leet," or "elite") speak—an esoteric computer hacker language in which numbers and symbols are put together to look like letters. Although the double "o" in the word is usually represented by double zeroes, the exclamation is also known to be an acronym for we owned the other team"—again stemming from the gaming community.

Merriam-Webster's #1 Word of the Year for 2007 based on votes from visitors to our Web site:

1. w00t (interjection)
expressing joy (it could be after a triumph, or for no reason at all); similar in use to the word "yay" w00t! I won the contest!
